Therapist Social: Approaching Mabon

Friday 11th September

Meet at 10am at the Mill Yard in Staveley for a relaxed walk in the beautiful woods and along riverside paths; then at 11.30pm to Wilfs Cafe in Staveley for coffee (You are welcome to join for just the walk or just the cafe).

A chance to come together in community, to meet and connect with other therapists, and to decompress, and to spend time doing some of the things we probably encourage clients to access: community, movement, food, and nature.

Counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, body workers all welcome. You are also welcome if you're a therapist who is not from the area but fancy a lovely day out in the Lake District!

Please bring waterproofs, warm layers and shoes you don't mind getting muddy with some grip, as well as snacks and water etc.

If you're running late please message me so that we know whether to wait for you for the walk.

Please RSVP using the form below

It’s free by the way! (Other than if you choose to have something to eat/drink at the cafe.)

Please note: You participate in the walks completely at your own risk. If you have a health issue, it is your responsibility and yours alone to take appropriate steps in safeguarding yourself. You walk at your own risk, and are responsible for your own actions and involvement. If you want insurance, you must insure yourself.

The social is as it says on the tin. It's pretty simple and relaxed, we go for a walk together and then for coffee - there's no team-building exercises or structured supervision or anything like that.

This also means that you must take responsibility for yourself- if you notice you are getting left behind, you must call out to let the people in front know to slow down, they will likely be chatting and not paying attention or constantly looking behind, but you will see if you are going at a slower pace, so please communicate. It is not a problem at all to go slower unless you don't let us all know.  Similarly, if you don't like going through fields of cows, or whatever, you will need to let the group know and ask to go a different way.

Most people come not knowing anyone else so don't worry if that's you too.
