Monthly Experiential Self-Care Group for Helpers, Psychotherapists & Counsellors (June)

  • Vanessa Bear Online (map)
  • Do you find yourself struggling with your own self-care… especially as your job involves looking after others?

  • Are you a Helping Professional - a counsellor, psychotherapist, nurse, doctor, police officer, social worker, fire person…. Or any of the myriad professions where helping others is the focus of your role?

  • Are you feeling stressed? Not sleeping well? Tense?

  • Would you like to spend one hour a month just focussing on how you can look after yourself better… especially given your profession? (And you can use it as CPD!)

We believe that Self Care isn’t just for Sundays or certain days of the week. #selfcaresunday It’s a practice. All that you’re currently missing is the support & guidance to put YOUR Self Care into practice. And that's where we come in…

What?

A monthly experiential group that’s focussed on Self Care for Helpers

Why?

You’ll come away with insight, knowledge, support, and tools to help you take better care of yourself when you’re working and across all areas of your life. If you’re a counsellor/psychotherapist or similar profession, some of these tools can be passed on to your clients to help them too.

Supervision hours or manager meetings are often focused on issues with clients/work with little time to focus on your self care. Bridging the gap that often exists between personal therapy and supervision, these sessions enable you to focus on your own professional self care.

When?

Lunchtime, 12pm to 1pm. Monthly, usually the last of the month.

The “lecture” part of the sessions will also be recorded if you are unable to make the live sessions.

Where?

Via Zoom

Who?

Facilitated by Nes and Emma. We’re therapists with a wealth of experience - who specialise in trauma, embodiment and self care when working with our clients - arising from the breadth of our own knowledge, practice and personal experiences.

We also run retreats for other therapists and helping professionals focussing on self care.

Investment

£20 per session

The sessions are not a substitute for your own professional clinical supervision or management of your role as a helping professional. We will therefore not be discussing any specific client work or seeking support with supporting clients / patients within your role as a helping professional.
